MHD ECA CAN FlexFuel sensor kit for B48, B58 and S58 engines

MHD ECA kit, from your official distributor in Finland! With this kit, you can feed real-time data of the ethanol content in your fuel line directly into your vehicle’s CAN bus. The MHD ECA CAN kit is typically used together with the well-known MHD Flash tuning tool/app, allowing the system to enable fully automatic FlexFuel tuning based on ethanol content.

In other words, your engine power and tuning adjust automatically depending on whether the tank contains gasoline or an ethanol blend that allows for higher power and more aggressive tuning.

The kit has official compatibility with MHD and EcuTek tuned systems, and may also work with others with some limitations.

NOTE: Please note, if you have a manual transmission OR 45e Hybrid model – use the Open Wire version instead. We will provide instructions for pinout.

Installation

The ethanol sensor kit is simple to install. The sensor is installed in the engine bay between the fuel line and the pump, with the control unit connected in line. Plug and play installation.

Install the kit and simply enable the FlexFuel feature from your MHD or BM3 app – it’s that easy!

The kit type is divided based on two factors:

• G-series automatic transmission models, plug and play connectors for either OE or Dorch pumps
• F-series automatic transmission models, plug and play connectors fitting all pumps
• For manual or 45e models, use the Flying Lead open wire kit instead

With the stock fuel pump (B58 Gen1 or Gen2 TU), connectors are the same across all kits.

If your vehicle has a Dorch upgraded pump, select this option from the menu – these kits include the correct adapter hose for the pump.

Compatibility includes

BMW M140i, M240i, M340i, 440i, 540i Gen1 B58B30M0 3.0L engines, in model series such as F20, F21, F22, F25, F30, F31, F36, G30, G31. Also Toyota Supra GR 3.0L.

BMW B48 2.0L engines across various models such as 330e, 530e, 320i, 330i.

BMW S58 engines, for example in BMW G8x M2, M3 and M4 models.

NOTE
The kit is designed for automatic transmission models with the required engine bay wiring harness connection. For manual transmission vehicles, select the “open lead” version.

When ordering, select your vehicle model and, for G-series models, specify whether your car has the stock pump or a Dorch (or similar) high performance HPFP. Kit contents vary accordingly.
