Akrapovič develops materials, structure and sound as one complete system. Months of development refine both performance and the sound character until everything is in tune. This Evolution link pipe set was developed with Akrapovič’s titanium Slip-On and Evolution systems. Made from austenitic stainless steel, its two central pipes improve exhaust flow and extend the Slip-On configuration into an Evolution system.

The manufacturer designed it to increase power and torque and reduce weight, with a deep, sporty sound without unwanted drone. The performance measurement describes the link pipe paired with the Akrapovič exhaust.

Manufacturer measurements

Akrapovič’s performance figures describe the tested link pipe and exhaust combination. The weight figures apply to the link pipe set and should not be added to the rear-exhaust saving without a complete-system measurement.

Power and torque figures are the manufacturer’s maximum gains at the stated engine speeds, rather than differences between peak engine outputs. The vehicle version and configuration affect the results achieved.

Fitment and points to consider

For the BMW Z4 M40i G29 OPF/GPF configuration with an Akrapovič exhaust. This product contains the link pipe set. The required rear exhaust is sold separately. ECU remapping is mandatory, including to prevent a potential check-engine warning. This extension invalidates ECE approval. It does not meet road-emission requirements and is for racetrack use.

Installation and setup

We recommend having your Akrapovič exhaust installed by an authorised Akrapovič dealer. Appropriate test equipment and software help verify correct exhaust operation, valve control and settings after installation.

Toyota GR Supra A90 fitment

The manufacturer also lists Toyota GR Supra A90 2019-2020 OPF/GPF configurations. The OPF is removed and ECU remapping is mandatory. The Supra requires a separately purchased Akrapovič S-TY/T/1H Slip-On. The product code, price and BMW fitment remain unchanged.
