Steeda HEX replaces the original centre resonator with a design combining H- and X-pipe characteristics. It adds a stronger V8 sound and saves up to six pounds, approximately 2.7 kg, according to Steeda.
Made in the USA from mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel. Diameter is 2.5 inches/63.5 mm and overall length 32 inches/approximately 813 mm. Fits between the original catalytic converters and rear silencers and is compatible with most aftermarket axle-back systems.
The original exhaust must be cut. Couplers are included. the butt-joint design allows shortening if needed and later refitting of the original resonator. Factory heat shields on 2018-on cars are retained without chiselling them off or expanding the replacement pipe.
Catalytic converters remain in place, and Steeda specifies no tune requirement.
