HEL In-Line Thermostat for External Oil Cooler

The compact HEL Performance in-line thermostat controls oil flow to an external cooler. Its valve opens progressively and is fully open at the selected temperature, allowing the oil to reach operating temperature without abruptly switching full cooler flow.

Approximately ten percent of the flow continues through the cooler while the thermostat is closed. This small continuous circulation helps prevent air pockets and reduces thermal shock from cold oil. The body also includes a plugged 1/8-inch NPT sensor port.

Compatibility

Universal component for external oil cooling systems. The 82 °C version suits hot conditions and demanding track use, 92 °C is a common choice for mixed road and track driving, and 102 °C suits cold operating conditions.
