RacingLine DSG Oil Cooler Kit – MQB DQ250 6-Speed

The RacingLine DSG oil cooler kit is designed for tuned or hard-driven MQB-platform vehicles equipped with the 6-speed DQ250 DSG transmission. Increased power, track use and high ambient temperatures raise transmission oil temperature, which can reduce lubrication performance and trigger gearbox protection functions.

The RacingLine system retains the operating principle of the factory oil-to-water cooler and adds a front-mounted oil-to-air cooler. This allows the DSG oil to warm up quickly during normal use while providing considerably more cooling capacity when required.

A thermostatically controlled adaptor directs oil through the front-mounted 10-row cooler when temperature reaches approximately 82°C. According to RacingLine, the system can reduce DSG oil temperature by around 15–20°C depending on vehicle use, state of tune and ambient temperature.

Compatibility

The kit fits RacingLine-confirmed Volkswagen and Audi MQB applications equipped with the 6-speed DQ250 DSG transmission. Examples include Volkswagen Golf 7/7.5 GTI and R, Passat B8, Arteon, T-Roc, Tiguan II and Jetta/GLI, plus Audi A3/S3 8V and TT 8S.

Not suitable for 7-speed DQ381 or DQ500 transmissions, or US-specification DQ250 vehicles equipped with Secondary Air Injection. Confirm the transmission type before ordering.

Installation of the cooler brackets requires mounting holes to be drilled through the front crash bar.
