MRT trailing-arm joints and mounts, BMW E36/E46

Rear trailing-arm joints and front mounts for BMW E36, E46 and Z4 suspension. The options replace compliant bushes and allow rear geometry changes.

Technical differences between options

• 45 mm eccentric joints, 4 pieces: 7 mm offset for roll-centre correction. Rotating them can modify the camber curve.
• 60 mm eccentric joints, 2 pieces: 7 mm offset to retain the trailing-arm angle or use the raised anti-squat setting with MRT front mounts.
• 60 mm concentric joints, 2 pieces: spherical-bearing replacement without eccentric offset.
• 45 mm OE-type ball joints, 2 pieces: BMW 33326775551, Febi Bilstein 12700. Suitable for upper and lower arm joints.
• Trailing-arm front mounts, 2 pieces: 50% more toe adjustment. Two mounting positions provide stock or 15 mm revised anti-squat geometry. The latter requires eccentric bushes.

Materials and installation

MRT joint options use lightweight hard-anodised AW-7075 bearing cups, replaceable Motorsport spherical bearings and 316L spacers. Brackets are laser-cut structural steel with black powder coating. The OE option is a separate Febi product.

For track and drift applications on BMW E36/E46 and Z4 E85/E86 with the corresponding rear suspension. The different E36 Compact rear axle is not covered. Joint replacement requires a press. The selected kit includes mounting hardware and MRT decals.
