MRT RACE rear control arms, BMW E36/E46/Z4

Adjustable aluminium rear control arms for BMW E36, E46 and Z4, including M versions. Choose lower camber arms or upper arms intended for a true rear coilover setup.

Construction and adjustment

• Hard-anodised AW-7075 aluminium arms with replaceable three-piece JMX Motorsport rod ends and ±15 mm length adjustment.
• Upper arms use a rigid billet H-section without an original spring seat. They require a true rear coilover, with the spring around the damper.
• Straight upper arms are designed for E36. Angled upper arms suit E46 and very low E36 applications.
• The manufacturer states a 100% increase in rigidity compared with original arms.
• Upper arms include the sway-bar rod-end conversion kit. The body spring seat may require trimming at low ride heights.
• Grade 12.9 fasteners and 316L stainless-steel spacers. Includes the selected kit components and MRT decals.

Fitment and installation

BMW E36, E36 M3, E46, E46 M3, Z4 E85/E86 and Z4 M. The different E36 Compact rear suspension is not covered by this arm design.

The arms are bolt-on. Using the conversion kit with the original anti-roll bar requires welding. Aftermarket bars often have suitable rod-end holes. Rear alignment is required afterwards.
